Spin Doctors Kickoff Cruzan Campfire Concert Series at The Palms June 17

The Palms Pool & Bungalows, in partnership with Cruzan Rum, launches a new summer live performance series Cruzan Campfire Concert Series. The line-up starts with blues alt-rockers the Spin Doctors performing on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 9:00 p.m.

Ticket for Spin Doctors are $30 for general admission and $50 for a VIP ticket that allows guests access into a special viewing area and includes a complimentary Cruzan cocktail. Cabana reservations are available by calling 702-942-6832.

Formed in 1988, the Spin Doctors became one of the most recognizable names of the ’90s blues rock era. With hits like “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong” and “Two Princes” the band quickly grabbed attention of pop, alternative rock and blues fans. The first release housing those two singles was Pocket Full of Kryptonite (1991) which received great play on radio airwaves as well as on MTV.

The band’s follow up album, Turn It Upside Down was released in 1994 featuring “You Let Your Heart Go Too Fast.” Spin Doctors released two more albums, 1996’s You’ve Got to Believe in Something and 1999’s Here Comes the Bride. The band reunited in the early 2000’s and recorded Nice Talking to Me. The 2005 release was the first new studio album in eleven years by the original band line up of Chris Barron (lead vocals), Eric Schenkman (guitar, vocals), Mark White (bass), and Aaron Comess (drums).

This event is presented in association with Cruzan Rum. Guests must be 21 years of age or older. The Pearl Box Office is open from noon – 7:00 p.m. daily. Doors will open at 8:00 p.m. with a live DJ and show time is 9:00 p.m. For more information on upcoming concerts, please call 702-942-6888.
