M Resort, Spa and Casino to Include On-Property Pharmacy

Officials at the M Resort, Spa and Casino, the newest resort destination on South Las Vegas Boulevard set to open March of 2009, announced today that they will add an on-property pharmacy to its list of amenities. Located inside the M Resort, guests will be able to take advantage of a full-service pharmacy, open 365 days a year from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. In addition to filling prescriptions, the pharmacy will also provide proactive health screenings.

“The M Resort will be innovative in its offerings as well as its services. The addition of the on-site pharmacy is a convenient amenity that will provide a vital service to our guests and our team members,” said Joseph A. Magliarditi, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the M Resort. “We are pleased to partner with Nevada Pharmacy Management, a company that shares our philosophies to ensure that our guests receive a higher level of service.”

Nevada Pharmacy Management, LLC, a pharmacy management and consulting company, is owned and operated by independent pharmacists David Vasenden and Brant Skanson, who have more than 37 years of pharmacy experience between them. Vasenden and Skanson operate several pharmacies in Reno, Nevada. The M Pharmacy will be their first in Las Vegas.

“As independent pharmacists, we are able to bring, what we believe, is a higher level of service than a typical chain pharmacy,” said Skanson, Manager for Nevada Pharmacy Management. “David and I have been involved with the M Pharmacy from the beginning and we will remain involved on the day-to-day operations and management of the facility.”

The 600 square foot entity will consist of two full-time pharmacists, three technicians and two clerks. Guests staying at the resort will have the option of visiting the pharmacy to pick-up their prescriptions or have them delivered, whether they are in their rooms or on the casino floor. In addition, iMagine Rewards Club Members will also be able to purchase their prescriptions using points earned on their iMagine card.
