Responsible for countless Top 10 hits and well over 100 million combined album sales, Styx, Foreigner and special guest Kansas will bring the “United in Rock” tour to the Mandalay Bay Events Center Saturday, May 22 for what many believe will be the “tour of the summer.” The concert, scheduled to begin at 8 p.m., will showcase three of the iconic bands who helped shape rock ‘n roll for a generation of music fans and dominated the charts and airwaves for decades.

Tickets priced at $85 and $55, not including applicable service charges, go on sale Saturday, March 20 at noon and will be available at all Ticketmaster locations (select Smith’s Food and Drug Centers and Ritmo Latino). Ticket sales are limited to eight (8) per person. To charge by phone with a major credit card, call Mandalay Bay at (877) 632-7400 or Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000. Tickets also will be available for purchase at www.mandalaybay.com or www.ticketmaster.com.

With more than 35 million albums sold worldwide and 16 Top 20 singles (12 Top 10 Singles), Styx has hosted more live performances in the past 10 years than all of the previous years of its career combined. These shows have included two highly coveted Super Bowl appearances along with Pollstar chart-topping tours with other rock legends including Def Leppard, Journey, Boston, REO Speedwagon and Bad Company, to name a few. The band has released a total of 15 albums which include some of their most popular hits such as “Come Sail Away,” “Renegade,” “Too Much Time On My Hands” and “Blue Collar Man.” Styx also is one of the few bands to have three Top 10 songs in three decades (‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s). Foreigner is universally hailed as one of the most popular rock acts in the world, racking up scores of smash hits, multi-platinum albums and sold-out concert tours. From “Feels Like the First Time” and “Cold As Ice” to “Hot Blooded,” “Urgent” and chart-topper “I Want To Know What Love is,” Foreigner’s thrilling mix of blustery blues and impeccably crafted pop continues to captivate generation after generation of music fans. The band recently performed the title track from its latest album Can’t Slow Down to a sold-out crowd and national TV audience of more than 6 million NASCAR fans at The Pepsi 500. This performance helped drive the band’s sales to the point where it currently out-sells a majority of their rock peers including the Eagles, The Rolling Stones and Aerosmith. Today, more than 70 million albums later, Foreigner is an ensemble of talented musicians with credentials that make the band stronger and more powerful than ever. Kansas became popular in the 1970s with hit singles such as “Carry on Wayward Son” and “Dust in the Wind.” The group has remained a staple in the classic rock genre and continues to draw large crowds to its live performances throughout North America, Japan and Europe. The band has produced eight gold albums, three sextuple-platinum albums (Leftoverture, Point of Know Return and Best Of), one platinum live album (Two For the Show) and “Dust in the Wind,” a gold single that has earned more than 1 million sales for the band. Kansas also appeared on the Billboard charts for more than 200 weeks throughout the ‘70s and ‘80s. For additional information, visit www.kansasband.com.
