Carrot Top to Work The Pits This Weekend
February 24, 2010 by VegasNews.com
Legendary comedian Carrot Top will be the honorary Crew Manager for Mike Wallace in the Monster Diesel #01 Chevy at Las Vegas this Saturday during the Nationwide Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Monster Diesel, the diesel fuel additive that boosts diesel engine power and MPG using “green technology”, will be the primary sponsor on the J-D Motorsports entry.
In his duties as Crew Manager, Carrot Top will hold the #01 pit sign during the entire race and will also give the Wallace crew a pep talk prior to the Nationwide race itself. Carrot Top, a lifelong fan of stock car racing, is excited about the opportunity. “I can’t wait to get out to the speedway this weekend and help my good friend Mike Wallace and his team,” said Carrot Top. “Watching a race from the pits should be great fun. I only hope that I can help the #01 team bring home a victory. If not, well, they knew what they were getting into hiring me in the first place.”
Mike Wallace finished 12th in the Nationwide race in California last weekend. Monster Diesel provided a much-needed boost to the team just as it does to diesel engines. The combination of Carrot Top and Monster Diesel should add even more boost to the team at Las Vegas. Carrot Top is also seeking help from his fans to provide new props for his Luxor Las Vegas act with his National Prop Contest. Visit www.carrottop.com for more details.
Carrot Top performs Wednesday through Monday at 8:30 p.m. in the Atrium Theater at Luxor. Ticket prices start at $49.95 plus tax and service fee and can be purchased by visiting www.carrottop.com or by calling Luxor directly at 800-557-7428 or 702-262-4400.
