Rhumbar's Hot Holiday Cocktail Spices Up The Season

RHUMBAR, the Strip’s most exotic drink spot, introduces Kristen’s Hottest Toddy, a delicious holiday cocktail to warm the soul this winter season.  Chock full of warm, rich spices, fused with hints of orange, raspberry and vanilla, and topped off with spiced rum and whipped cream, this holiday treat will spice up the winter with enough cheer to go around.

Cleverly crafted by RHUMBAR’s expert mixologist, Kristen Schaefer used some of the winter season’s most comforting ingredients to create this specialty holiday cocktail. Kristen’s Hottest Toddy uses fresh fruits including raspberries and orange wheels, spiced hot tea, warm spiced rum with hints of caramel, and rock candy syrup. The cocktail is topped with homemade whipped cream for an extra dollop of holiday cheer.

“When developing the recipe for Kristen’s Hottest Toddy, I really wanted to create a cocktail that was able to generate that cozy feeling that the holiday season brings,” said Schaefer. “I incorporated uplifting and soothing ingredients, like citrus and vanilla, and combined them with the comfort of warm spices, rum and hot tea, for a wintery, heart-warming cocktail.”

Kristen’s Hottest Toddy:
12 raspberries
3 orange wheels
4 Constant Comment tea bags
3 cups of Captain Morgan spiced rum
1 cup of rock candy syrup
3 cups water
Whipped cream
Served with a raspberry and a mint sprig

Using a coffee pot, place the raspberries, orange wheels and tea bags in a coffee filter. Add the rum, rock candy syrup and water to the coffee pot reservoir. Brew the ingredients. Pour into a glass mug and top with whipped cream, a raspberry and a mint sprig or garnish.
