Legendary Southern Rock Group The Marshall Tucker Band Returns to The Orleans Showroom Oct. 14-15
The Marshall Tucker Band
will bring their timeless southern rock hits to The Orleans Showroom on Oct. 14-15.

Formed in Spartanburg, S.C., The Marshall Tucker Band has influenced numerous country music performers, including Alabama and Travis Tritt, with its definitive blend of rock, R&B, jazz, country and gospel. With the hit singles “Heard It in a Love Song,” “Fire on The Mountain,” “Can’t You See” and “Take the Highway,” The Marshall Tucker Band has earned seven Gold and three Platinum albums. Additionally, the group has scored four hit singles on the Billboard country music chart and one on the gospel music chart.

Throughout their more than 40-year career, the band has recorded 22 studio albums, three DVDs, three live albums and multiple compilations. The Marshall Tucker Band’s music has also been featured on numerous movie soundtracks, including “Smokey and the Bandit,” “Shipwrecked,” “Blow,” “Swing Vote” and “Taking Chance” as well as many television shows.

In honor of the 40th anniversary of one of their most famous albums, “Searchin’ For A Rainbow,” the band spent most of 2015 playing venues across the United States with the same-titled tour. The group continues to perform more than 130 live dates each year.

The Marshall Tucker Band’s current lineup includes Founding Member and Lead Vocalist Doug Gray; Drummer B.B. Borden; Multi-Instrumentalist Marcus Henderson, who plays flute, saxophone and keyboards as well as lead and background vocals; Bass Guitarist Pat Elwood; Lead Guitarist and Vocalist Rick Willis; and Guitarist and Vocalist Chris Hicks.

Showtime is 8 p.m. Tickets start at $29.95 plus tax and fees, and can be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000; online at www.orleanscasino.com; or in-person at gift shops inside The Orleans, Suncoast, Gold Coast and Sam’s Town. Tickets may also be purchased the day of the show (depending upon availability) at the venue box office.
