Child Focus Sibling Preservation Holiday Event Dec. 5
November 27, 2009 by VegasNews.com
100 local foster children reunite with brothers and sisters to enjoy a day of festivities and creating a lifetime of shared memories. These siblings, who experience separation while in foster care, will enjoy activities including “shopping” at the Child Focus Store (stocked with gifts from the wish list of their sibling), gift wrapping, holiday card making, ornament and cookie decorating stations and games.
Afterwards, each sibling group will meet Santa and get their picture taken, followed by a festive meal generously donated from area restaurants and chefs. Gifts will be exchanged during dinner.
Wal-Mart has graciously sponsored the gift-giving portion of this event. Other community partners include: NV Energy, National Charities League, Burke High School, Sin City Chamber of Commerce, Cupcakery, Simon Restaurant and Lounge and Opportunity Village.
Child Focus is a non-profit agency, providing many vital supportive services and resources enriching the lives of children living in foster care in Southern Nevada.
