REO Speedwagon to Headline 96.3 KKLZ’s Junefest at Sunset Station Amphitheater
Sunset Station
and 96.3 KKLZ are proud to welcome Junefest back to the spacious outdoor Sunset Amphitheater. The annual music festival will feature performances by REO Speedwagon, Don Felder and Martha Davis and The Motels on Saturday, June 3, 2017.

Located poolside at Sunset Station, the Sunset Amphitheater is the perfect destination for a concert experience under the stars. Tickets for Junefest go on sale Friday, April 1 at 10 a.m.

Formed in 1967, signed in 1971 and fronted by iconic vocalist Kevin Cronin since 1972, REO Speedwagon is a band where the main constant over the decades is a never-ending desire to give their all to their fans, year in and year out. Formed loosely in the late 1960s at college in Champaign, IL, REO (named after the precursor to the light truck) rode to gigs in station wagons, hopping from small gigs to even tinier gigs, just to get their name out. It worked, as fans quickly realized there was much more going on here than your average college party band.

By the early 1970s, the band’s unrelenting drive, as well as non-stop touring and recording, jump-started the burgeoning rock movement in the Midwest. It carved a path that was eventually followed by STYX, Kansas, Cheap Trick and more. Platinum albums and freeform FM radio staples such as “Ridin’ The Storm Out” followed, set the stage for 1980’s explosive Hi Infidelity. REO rode the top of the charts with a RIAA-certified 22 million albums sold in the United States and 40 million around the globe, with a string of gold and platinum records and international hit singles, including “Take It on the Run,” “Can’t Fight This Feeling” and the platinum-certified “Keep On Loving You.”

Tickets to Junefest are $29 plus tax and applicable fees for standing room only. Reserved seating is available for $69, $89 and $99 plus tax and applicable fees. A special general admission ticket for $9.63 plus tax and applicable fees will be available for purchase only at Station Casinos Reward Centers from Friday, March 31 at 10 a.m. to Sunday, April 2 at 10 p.m., or until supplies last. Doors open at 5 p.m. and guests under 21 must be accompanied by an adult.
