Grant a Gift Autism Foundation Continues 5K for Autism with “Part 2” of 7th Annual Race for Hope and Fun Walk at Town Square June 11
When April gives you showers, bring June flowers! Grant a Gift Autism Foundation will continue its 7th annual Race for Hope and Fun Walk on Saturday, June 11 with the Kidz Run, Fun Walk, Autism Family Resource Fair and KidZone after the festivities on April 30 were cut short by the rain.

While the 5K timed race took place in April, Grant A Gift Autism Foundation cancelled its child-friendly activities due to the health and safety risks posed by the rain. On June 11, all participants are invited back to finish the event and enjoy the family-friendly activities with “Part 2” of the Race for Hope and Fun Walk to support youth and families affected by autism living in Southern Nevada. Online registration is available online through June 9 at www.GrantAGiftFoundation.org. Day of race registration will be $40.

The morning kicks off at 7 a.m. with registration and the Autism Family Resource Fair. Opening ceremonies begin at 8 a.m. followed by the Kidz Run at 8:15 a.m., Fun Walk at 8:30 a.m., and recognition and awards ceremony at 9:30 a.m. An awards ceremony will take place for the timed finishers who ran the 5K on April 30. The family-friendly morning of fun continues at 10 a.m. with music, raffles, entertainment and activities for the kids ending at noon. Located at “The Green” in Town Square, the Family Resource Fair is open to the public and includes many community providers and partners that can provide support.

Online registration is available now at www.GrantAGiftFoundation.org. Fees for the Fun Walk are $30 for adults, $15 for teens and $10 for children. Kidz Run participation is $10 per child. For those who want to take the morning off and still support Grant a Gift Autism Foundation, the “Sleep In for Autism” option is also available for $20. Participants are also encouraged to build teams with family, friends and co-workers and share their fundraising page. Booth space at the resource fair and sponsorships are still available.
