Jay Leno showed up and spent time greetings fans signing autographs as he mingled with he crowd and watched carefully as the 1965 Shelby crossed the auction block. Leno was there to auction off his own motorcycle, the 2009 STAR VMAX.  The 2009 VMAX is a radical reinvention of this legendary muscle bike.  All proceeds of the sale will benefit Bailey’s Café.  Jay threw in one of his guitars and a GPS system too, joking that the bike is so fast that the woman’s voice wont be able to keep up with the GPS. A bidding war broke out between a young 12 year old Jackson Frank and his father Roger Frank of Scotts Bluff, Nebraska, and a another bidder. Jay was right there going back and forth working on them to get the bids up until it hit $120,000.00 and sold to Milton Verret from Milton TX.

John Schneider from Dukes of Hazzard surprised the crowd and drove onto the block in his General Lee. This was the last real General Lee that was used by the original cast and built by John Schneider (Bo Duke himself) for the Dukes of Hazzard reunion movie. Schneider stood on top of his General Lee and sang the theme song to the show Dukes of Hazzard before the car was auctioned off.  He interacted with the crowd and helped push the number up and up until it finally topped off and sold for $258,500.00.
