Alternative metal powerhouse band Slipknot ends their fall tour with a Halloween stop at The Pearl Concert Theater inside Palms Casino Resort on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 8:00 p.m.

Halloween is a special date for the band, not only does the theatrical group sport Halloween masks and stage names, but the band self-released their first album Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat… on Halloween in 1996, just one year after forming in Des Moines, Iowa. The release of that album led to buzz that caught the eye of Roadrunner Records. Roadrunner signed the band in 1997 and released their first studio album, the self-titled Slipknot, which went on to become certificate platinum, the first platinum album in the label’s history.

The band’s second album, Iowa, was released in 2001 and was followed by a tour and a stint on that year’s Ozzfest. In 2004 the band released Subliminal Verses and in 2008 peaked at #1 on the Billboard 200 with All Hope Is Gone featuring the hit single “Psychosocial.”

This event is presented by Andrew Hewitt and Live Nation. The Pearl Box Office is open from noon – 7 p.m. daily. Doors will open at 7:00 p.m. and show time is 8:00 p.m. The Pearl is home to Miller Lite Live, sponsored by Citi; for more information on upcoming concerts, please call 702-942-6888.
