August 25, 2009 by VegasNews.com

British invaders, Chad & Jeremy will bring their rockin’ songs to the Eastside Cannery Casino & Hotel on Friday, September 11 and Saturday, September 12. The duo will perform their hits inside Marilyn’s Lounge at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 and are on sale now at the Eastside Cannery Casino & Hotel front desk.
The duo, comprised of Chad Stuart and Jeremy Clyde, met in London while they were both studying at the Central School of Speech and Drama. First making a splash in 1963, Chad & Jeremy’s song “Yesterday’s Gone” began to climb to the top of the charts. One year later the song was released in America and quickly reached the top twenty Billboard charts. Only a few months after their American debut the group released their second single “A Summer Song,” scoring them their biggest North American hit.
Featured on American television staples such as The Patty Duke Show and the Dick Van Dyke Show, Chad & Jeremy conquered American media well into late 1965. Parting ways as the 1960’s came to a close, the two friends reunited in 2003 for a new album and tour. With more than 40 years performing in the music industry, Chad & Jeremy released their Greatest Hits album in 2008 and preformed at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. The group’s blend of psych-folk-rock music continues to excite and entertain audiences well into the 21st century.

Whether you’re a fan of British Invasion acts or simply enjoy fine acoustic music and timeless songs, their show is not to be missed. Their voices are strong and mature, their musicianship is impeccable, and their sometimes self depreciating sense of humor make for a wonderful night.
