600 Athletes Climb 108 floors of Stratosphere Tower and Raise $150,000 for Charity

About 600 athletes of all abilities climbed all 108 floors and 1,455 steps inside the iconic Stratosphere Tower, the highest building west of the Mississippi River, to raise money for the American Lung Association in Nevada and its of mission of preventing lung diseases and promoting lung health (Photo credit: Cashman Photo).
The 2014 overall winner of Scale the Strat is Görge Heimann, age 45, with at time of 7 minutes and 19 seconds. He is from Koln, Germany. Heimann’s time was only 11 second shy of the record.

Scale the Strat is the American Lung Association in Nevada’s largest fundraiser of the year. Fundraising continues until April 2 on www.scalethestrat.com, but this year’s event has raised an impressive $150,000 so far and counting!
