To highlight the vibrant and eclectic nature of the growing arts district in downtown Las Vegas, Downtown Grand Las Vegas Hotel & Casino showcases the artwork of Las Vegas artists at its Art Bar, a comfortable and stylish lounge where guests can enjoy a drink and small bites surrounded by stunning pieces of famous reproductions and original art (Pictured: Artwork on ceiling at Art Bar in Downtown Grand Las Vegas).
Created specifically to showcase the works of local artists, Art Bar has regularly revolving art exhibits on display. The latest exhibit at Art Bar is from Sush Machida, a globally inspired artist fusing Eastern 18th Century Edo-period principles with Western Abstract Expressionism and Minimalist movements. His collection portrays a sophisticated compilation of rolling waves, fluffy clouds, tigers, fish and birds, yielding “hyper-stylized Japanese art.” A special signing event will be held in March.
“We are proud to be a part of the vibrancy that makes up the downtown community, and we wanted to showcase the art of the growing arts community that has made downtown Las Vegas so unique.” said Seth Schorr, CEO of Downtown Grand Las Vegas. “Art Bar offers guests a comfortable lounge to relax and enjoy a cocktail in a space that celebrates amazing pieces of local art. And of course, it is a perfect place for visitors and locals who want to continue their First Friday art experience.”
Downtown Grand will feature at Art Bar numerous local artists throughout the year. The bar is located across from the hotel lobby. Artwork of the artists featured in Art Bar are also on display throughout the property for guests to enjoy. For more information, visit www.DowntownGrand.com
