May 23, 2013 - Another REHAB party will go down in history as the dayclub continues to celebrate its 10-year anniversary season with an unforgettable Memorial Day Weekend bash on May 26 hosted by entertainment mogul Diddy. May 22, 2013 - Monday night, iconic pop star Jennifer Lopez and boyfriend Casper Smart showed support for the world-famous dance crew Jabbawockeez by attending their all-new headlining show PRiSM at Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Taking it back to her days as a Fly Girl, Lopez grooved to old school jams in her seat, and even stood up with the audience to participate in a popular dance led by the Jabbawockeez. The show opened just three days ago, making Lopez one of the first to experience the new headlining show from the dance crew known for their white masks and captivating dance moves. Lopez was in town following her recent performance at the Billboard Music Awards, where Jabbawockeez also had an outstanding performance with superstar Taylor Swift.

May 21, 2013 - Local nonprofit Golden Rainbow partners with The Smith Center for the Performing Arts to raise awareness for HIV/AIDS by creating a human ribbon on Monday, June 3. The date marks a 27 day countdown until Golden Rainbow’s 27th annual “Ribbon of Life” spectacular on Sunday, June 30. “Ribbon of Life” is the nonprofit’s main source of revenue and one of Southern Nevada’s largest HIV/AIDS fundraisers. Volunteers are needed to form the human ribbon. All patrons are asked to arrive at 9:30 a.m. and wear red, in honor of HIV/AIDS awareness. Surface parking available on City Parkway.

May 20, 2013 - Latin American musician Carlos Santana visited the newly opened Dos Caminos in Summerlin on Sunday. Santana enjoyed the Carnitas Taco Platter with slow roasted pork, green chile salsa and handmade corn tortillas. The artist sent his compliments to the chef before taking a picture with the kitchen staff.

May 19, 2013 - Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez attended the 9:30 p.m. performance of The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil at The Mirage in Las Vegas on Saturday, May 18. The pair got close and comfortable in their seats while snacking on peanut M&Ms and Mike and Ikes candy. Bieber was sporting a low hat and sunglasses during the show. Also spotted at The Beatles LOVE Theatre… Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul who enjoyed the early performance of LOVE on Saturday, May 18. The actor was with a group of 20 friends, and was excited to see the show again.

A favorite of Aoki’s, the DJ often makes the healthy kitchen his first stop when he gets off the plane. Bryan Hopkins, lead singer from Elvis Monroe and Ben Carey, guitarist from Lifehouse both stopped into Greens & Proteins today and enjoyed a Wellness Drink, Greek Scramble and G&P Veggie Burger.

May 16, 2013 - Kandi Burruss, from the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” on BRAVO dined at TREVI, located at the heart of The Forum Shops at Caesars this afternoon. The singer, songwriter and reality star was accompanied by her fiancé, Todd Tucker. Burruss dressed in a bright neon orange top, a white skirt and tennis shoes. The couple enjoyed a relaxing lunch beginning with the Calamari Fritti as an appetizer and shared the Linguini Al Frutti Di Mare, made with lobster, shrimp, scallops, tomatoes and scallions in a wonderful seafood cream sauce . They appeared to be enjoying a nice quiet afternoon date in Las Vegas.

May 14, 2013 - Singer, songwriter and actor, Jesse McCartney, dined at TREVI, located at the heart of The Forum Shops at Caesars yesterday afternoon. The Hollywood hunk, dressed casually in red shorts and a cream T-shirt, and was accompanied by three lovely ladies. The group enjoyed a relaxing lunch that included the Caprese Alla TREVI salad, Polpetta Di Pollo soup and a margherita pizza. McCartney appeared to be celebrating as he announced today  that he will be joining The Backstreet Boys on their In a World Like This Tour beginning in August 2013, with Las Vegas being one of their stops on Sept. 7, 2013.

Celebrated American Idol winner and Paris Las Vegas headliner, Taylor Hicks, dined at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse at Harrah’s Las Vegas with a small group on Sunday, May 12. During his visit to Ruth’s Chris’ 137 steakhouse that opened on the Las Vegas Strip in January, he enjoyed the restaurant’s sizzling signature rib-eye steak accompanied by creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. His party visited the steakhouse before attending Million Dollar Quartet, the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical at Harrah’s.

Kevin Burke of Defending the Caveman, inside the Improv Showroom at Harrah’s Las Vegas will turn over his spear after 10 years of performing as the production’s leading caveman. Say goodbye to Burke during his last full-time performance in the Las Vegas show on Monday, May 13 with a special show that will include a ceremonial passing of the spear to Burke’s successor, Chris Allen, and video footage of local celebrities saying goodbye to Burke. Although he is retiring from the Las Vegas show, Burke will continue to perform select limited engagements in the National Broadway Tour of Defending the Caveman in the future.

The television personality and actress was joined by friends and family, including sister Casey Loza, in the dining room as they enjoyed signature dishes sent specially from the chef. During dinner, the group toasted to Audrina, and at the end of the meal she was surprised with a special birthday dessert.

May 10, 2013 - In honor of National Shrimp Day, Golden Gate Hotel & Casino is rolling back the price of its famous shrimp cocktail to just 50 cents – the price it was in 1959 when the property introduced the “Original Shrimp Cocktail” to Las Vegas. Guests are invited to stop by Du-par’s Restaurant to enjoy the seafood snack at the special celebratory price from 2-5 p.m. tomorrow. One shrimp cocktail per person while supplies last. Golden Gate founding partner Italo Ghelfi was inspired to bring the San Francisco staple to Sin City in the late 50s, starting a tradition spanning several decades and 40 million shrimp cocktails (that’s more than a billion individual shrimp!)

May 7, 2013 -  Sunday, celebs rounded out the weekend at Marquee Dayclub and LAVO Italian Restaurant & Nightclub. Baltimore Ravens player and Super Bowl champion Ray Rice kicked off his day at Marquee Dayclub. Joined by friends, the group sipped on cocktails and snacked on fries and skewers in a cabana. Rice continued the party at a VIP table at LAVO Nightclub that night.

Trinidad James started the evening at LAVO Italian Restaurant with friends. They dined on the Kobe Meatball, Chicken Parmigiano, calamari, pizza and other signature items before taking over a VIP table next to the DJ booth in the nightclub. The rapper was seen dancing to the sounds of DJ Vice and interacting with fans. He later jumped in the booth and treated club-goers with an impromptu performance of his smash hit “All Gold Everything.”

Frank Gore also spent his night at LAVO. The San Francisco 49ers player partied at a VIP table with friends and was surprised with a birthday presentation. Gore took photos with fans throughout the evening and later took in LAVO’s club scene from the DJ booth.

May 6, 2013 - At LAVO on Friday, Ashlee Simpson dined at the restaurant with friends. While sipping on Champagne, the group enjoyed signature dishes including Rigatoni Melenzana, Tuna Tartare and Chicken Parmigiano before heading upstairs to a VIP table at LAVO nightclub.  Actors David Zayas and C.S. Lee, best known for their roles on the TV series Dexter, were also spotted at a VIP table at LAVO as was NFL football star and wine maker Charles Woodson, who earlier in the night hosted a wine pairing dinner in the restaurant.

Apr. 29, 2013 - On Saturday, April 27, PURE Nightclub inside Caesars Palace welcomed one half of the award-winning duo OutKast, Big Boi as he took over the iconic main stage for a special live performance. Arriving around 1 a.m. the hip-hop artist took his place at his VIP booth and mingled with his guests as he prepared for his anticipated performance. Nearing 1:30 a.m. Big Boi hopped on the mic and the energy of the night spot soared with excitement. The talented rapper put on a mini concert for his fans as he performed hit after hit including fan favorites “BOB,” “The Way You Move,” “So Fresh, So Clean” and many more. Partygoers were on their feet dancing and singing along as the talented rapper paced the stage giving an unforgettable, energetic performance. Closing out his show, Big Boi thanked clubgoers and made his way back to his booth where he spent the rest of his evening dancing, mingling and taking photos with his admirers as they passed by.

Apr. 16, 2013 - Comedian and television star Roseanne Barr was spotted enjoying Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s resident performer Andrew Dice Clay’s show at Vinyl on Saturday, April 13.  Later that evening, Dice took the stage with popular Las Vegas rockers Sin City Sinners and surprised the audience by jamming with the band on the drums.

Apr. 14, 2013 - Rihanna was spotted at Marquee Nightclub Friday night after her concert.  The pop star celebrated the birthday of a friend in the club’s Boom Box room where they were joined by Snoop Dogg, aka Snoop Lion, and A$AP Rocky. Also seen at Marquee Friday night was Drew Carey.  The Price is Right host took in the sounds of DJ Benny Benassi with friends.

Apr. 11, 2013 - Guitarist Rick Savage of British rock group Def Leppard was spotted enjoying live Irish music at Rí Rá Irish Pub in Las Vegas on Tuesday, April 9. Savage visited the pub with a friend to hear authentic Irish tunes from New York band Hot Cockalorum. His friend, a fiddle player, joined Hot Cockalorum on stage and played with the band. Def Leppard is in Las Vegas to host its VIVA Hysteria! residency at The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino now through Saturday, April 13.

Apr. 10, 2013 - On Sunday, April 7, actor Luke Wilson, known for his roles in blockbuster hits such as Legally Blonde, Old School and Anchorman, enjoyed a late lunch at Holsteins Shakes and Buns located inside The Cosmopolitan Hotel Las Vegas. Wilson, who is rumored to star in Anchorman: The Legend Continues later this year, arrived at approximately 3:15pm with Mike Judge, best known as the creator and star of the animated television series Beavis and Butt-head and King of the Hill.

Wilson and Judge grabbed lunch at the bar before departing at 4pm for the 48th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards (Judge directed the music video for the Zac Brown Band song “The Wind,” which was a nominee for Video of the Year). Wilson ordered a farm house salad with chicken while Judge noshed on crispy calamari. The two also shared truffle lobster mac n cheese and enjoyed their meal sans alcohol; iced tea and water were their beverages of choice. Another celebrity spotting:

Kevin McHale, a.k.a. Artie Abrams on the Fox hit television series Glee, was also spotted having lunch and catching the Laker game at Holsteins on Sunday, April 7 along with former NLT boy band member Justin Thorne, Glee script coordinator Aristotle Kousakis and a third unidentified guest. Kevin enjoyed the California turkey burger with a side of sweet potato fries and a chocolate malt. The rest of his group ordered a few surf ‘n turf quesadillas with a side of shoestring fries and a Thai beef salad. The group arrived at 12:40pm and left shortly after 2pm.

The couple and a group of friends stopped by the famous dueling piano bar late Friday night excited for a foot-stomping good time.

Apr. 1, 2013 - Anglo-Indian pop singer, best known for his number one hits “Release Me, “The Last Waltz” and “After the Lovin,” Engelbert Humperdinck dined at the acclaimed Gordon Ramsay Steak at Paris Las Vegas on Thursday, March 28 with a group of six, including his son Scott Dorsey. With a table upstairs, he began his dinner with two-dozen Kusshi oysters to share along with 2010 Fisticuffs Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley. Humperdinck dined on a New York Strip and told the staff it was the “best steak he’s ever had!” Dorsey ordered a bone-in rib-eye steak for his main entrée and the table split the restaurant’s famous Sticky Tofee pudding for dessert.
