A unique look into how music supervisors make decisions related to music placement in film and television.

1:30 pm – 2:30pm INDIE LABELS – PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE
Traditionally focusing on a niche market and the taste of the label proprietor, how are indie labels (new and old) surviving or thriving in today’s every-changing music landscape.

2:30 pm – 3:30pm PRODUCT BRANDS AS MUSIC CURATORS
Don’t call it a sell-out. Artist brand relationships are moving beyond sponsorship deals and in some cases the brand is the label. Meet some of the players and discover what they are doing.

3:00 pm – 4:00pm A&R AT THE MAJORS

3:30 pm – 4:30pm MUSIC BUSINESS PROGRAMS & STUDENT RECORD LABELS
It’s one of the fasters-growing curriculums in academia. Faculty from some of the leading institutions share what’s going on in the classroom and on campus? And it’s not just a class project anymore. Music savvy students are creating and utilizing new social media tools to work with artists at the college label eco-system.

4:00 pm – 5:00pm CAPITALIZING ON YOUTUBE (PRESENTATION)
The music video site is a premiere talent discovery resource for not just fans, but for labels, brands and entertainment companies. Find out how to successfully build and maintain a music career through online videos.

4:00 pm – 5:00pm CROWDFUNDING 101 (PRESENTATION)
